Cost: Rent is determined on a sliding fee scale based on the client's income, the number of dependents, and the cost of utilities. Participants pay a security deposit and all utilities.

Length of stay: Two years is the usual maximum length of time a participant may remain in a StepStone home. She may continue to receive supportive follow-up services beyond two years if she and the StepStone staff believe it would be beneficial.
